Starting in December 1997, Karen found three girls who shared a mutual interest in Hanson and making a newspaper about them. So we started to work writing articles, determining the layout, getting permissions, and finding a place that would print the first issue. The first issue was printed in July 1998.
Who We Are
Karen:
Karen is 20 years old and currently resides in Gresham , Oregon. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Hanson Relate.
Interesting Hanson related Fact:
Karen first saw Hanson (and liked them for that matter too) only two days after her 19th birthday. Hanson had appeared on Regis and Kathie Lee on May 26th 1997.
Ashley:
Ashley is 15 years old and currently resides in Overland Park, Kansas. She is the WebMaster and Staff Writer #1 for the Hanson Relate.
Interesting Hanson related fact:
Ashley's first exposure to Hanson? March 1997."I was on my way somewhere with my parents and the song MMMBop came on the radio, so i'm like crank it up! After a while I thought it had a pretty groovy tune and such. But I didn't even know what Isaac, Taylor, and Zac looked like until June, thats when my cousin Melissa showed me tons of magazines about them." Why didn't she know what they looked like? "I don't have cable!" she states.
Robyn:
Robyn is 15 years old and currently resides in B-town Oklahoma (as she puts it). She is the Staff Writer #2 for the Hanson Relate.
Interesting Hanson related fact:
"My step-mom used to be friends with Hanson's parents in college. Walker and Diana sang at her wedding. She went to Ike's and Tay's baby showers. The last time she saw them was when they left for Washington DC. Thats when Zac was born. I told her she sould give them a call. But she told me you don't call people, you haven't seen in years, right after their kids get famous. I was like,'Why not?!'"
Katie:
Katie is 15 years old and currently resides in Lenexa, Kansas. She is the Staff Writer #3 for the Hanson Relate.
